In the early 1900s, with nothing but a horse and a wheelbarrow, Ben Proler, the founder of Proler Steel, collected bones to sell to chemical plants. Eventually, this led to his collecting surplus metal from the chemical plants to sell.

Four generations and a legacy of industry successes later, CEO Cris Proler is ushering in the next era of metal with Proler Group. "My grandfather, Izzie, my father, Bill, and godfather, Ronny, had a tremendous influence on how I carry on the family legacy," Proler says.
